BDLC has a full-time Assistant/Curriculum Director (Rose Witteveen) that is dedicated to assist and ensure that teachers maintain a high-standard & creative curriculum. BDLC's curriculum is an integrated approach based on standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children(NAEYC), state licensing and The Creative Curriculum. BDLC teaches the whole child (physical, mental and emotional) and respects different learning styles! Each classroom has a monthly lesson plan that focuses on a theme. This theme is brought into the classroom in ways that incorporate the standards mentioned above. NAEYC sponsors The Creative Curriculum toolkit we use for individual evaluation and goals. http://www.teachingstrategies.com/ Please see this link for more on the Creative Curriculum Model. http://www.naeyc.org/ This is the homepage for NAEYC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_multiple_intelligences This is an explanation of Dr. Howard Gardner's Eight Inteligences.
